Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast Tour
Starting from Rome, on a day tour, you can explore Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The ancient city of Pompeii, located in the Campania region, is the most visited archaeological site in the world thanks to the well-preserved remains of the city buried by the volcanic eruption that in 79 AD. brought about its tragic end. Characteristic are the graffiti on the external walls of the buildings which, on the inside, were decorated with frescoes of great taste and scenes of everyday life from which the archaeologists have deduced the worldly character of the life that took place there and still testify to the luxury and love. for the art and beauty of the ancient Romans.
The Amalfi Coast is a 50-kilometer stretch of coast south of the Sorrentine Peninsula, in the Campania region. A popular holiday destination, it is characterized by steep cliffs and a rugged coastline dotted with small beaches and pastel-colored fishing villages.
The Amalfi Coast is known for being the land of orange blossoms and lemons, the saltiness of the wonderful beaches and the wildest Mediterranean scrub, all arranged vertically, together with the houses overlooking the sea and hidden in the maze of picturesque alleys.
